Find out more about Taste for Life
Fun, motivational ways to teach children to love fruit and vegetables!
Taste for Life is a new pre-school education programme supported by Organix. It is available in printed copy (whilst stocks are available) and to download free of charge from this website to nurseries across the UK from the beginning of July 2010.
The Taste for Life programme provides a toolkit of resources linked to the Early Years Curriculum, including:
| Practitioners guide | |
| Taste for Life session plans x 4 for each season with activities themed around four seasonal fruit or vegetables including songs, games, craft activities, snack ideas, nutritional tips and facts | |
| Parent information templates | |
| Reward chart, stickers and certificates |
Your pack provides fun and interactive ways of introducing and presenting fruit and vegetables to children, in a completely different context to that of mealtimes and it is designed to help children explore and enjoy good food from a young age and develop healthier eating habits for life.
Taste for Life is based on an original concept by Lucy Thomas author and creator of the Mange Tout™ book and classes and is part of a wider campaign, Better Nursery Food Now, led by Organix and the Soil Association, calling on the Government to improve nutritional standards in nurseries.
